I make the Miang Kum sauce from scratch with toasted coconut, ginger, brown sugar, green onions, bean sauce and more goodies all simmered and pureed together. Then we assemble onto lettuce leaves as we eat using tiny dried shrimp, peanuts, chopped lime, green onion, ginger, and (non traditionally) shredded teriyaki baked chicken with the sauce. The next days we make salads with the leftovers if there are any..gotta go find some excuse to eat the sauce on something now..bye... This is the hardest question! I LOVE all the traditional foods we break out at Thanksgiving -- especially those we only serve once a year!! Fresh made cranberry sauce comes to mind - because it's really one thing I never get any other time. But I also love Robyn's Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake - but the only problem with it being my favorite is I'm afraid to make it -- it couldn't possibly as good as Robyn's magic touch! Also in the running are yams and green bean casserole (but I do have those sometimes on non-holiday meals). I guess that brings it all back around to homemade cranberry sauce. Yum!!! Oh my!
